Treaty of London | Celebration at Lancaster House

It was kindly hosted by British Council Connect Youth, the UK’s National Agency for the Youth in Action Programme of the European Union.

Information for participants prior to arrival

This is what the team of our venue have to say about the house: «Situated on the World Heritage Site in Greenwich and steeped in naval history, Devonport House offers you the perfect way to enjoy London buzz, without the bustle. This grand building is full of maritime glamour, but it’s not just a pretty (impressive) face.»

As you will see, our course programme has been slightly adjusted compared to the generic version contained in the infopack – owed to, amongst others, the need to accommodate and respond to the anniversary of the Council of Europe’s Foundation: On May 5, 1949 the Treaty of London was signed, establishing the Council of Europe, by ten states: Belgium, Denmark, France, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
